The CDC Association hosts four Special Events annually. They are:

  • The State of Community Development, First Quarter, to discuss the state of the industry with decision makers, funders, and members  and to set the stage for the next twelve months of work in the field. (Free, Invite Only)
  • The Annual Award Ceremony¸ Second Quarter, to celebrate the past twelve months of work in the industry by handing out awards to the Executive Director of the Year, Project of the Year, Staffer of the Year, and Banker of the Year, among others. Nominations are accepted (here) starting in April of every year. ($35 members, $50 non-members)
  • The Neighborhood Tour, Third Quarter, to showcase work being done in a neighborhood and to provide funders, decision makers, and members an opportunity to walk through a transforming community.  ($35 members, $50 non-members)
  • The Holiday Party, Fourth Quarter, an opportunity for all members to come together and celebrate the holidays over free food and drinks (the first drink at least!). This event is no cost and is done to help build community as the year comes to a close. (Free)
